No Toxic Chemicals
My focus is always to support the health (immune system) of my companions, therefore, in order to continue that support and not weaken the immune system and cause other health issues, no toxic chemicals are put in them or on them. No heartworm or flea and tick pesticides/insecticides are ever used. I do not need my life to be easier but I do need my companions to stay safe and healthy.
Chemicals are NOT safe, despite the spin. They only make the guardian’s life easier but at what price to the animal? Do you know how those chemicals kill fleas, ticks and heartworms? Do you know about the life cycle of those pests you are trying to keep off your animal? Would you knowingly put those chemicals on or in yourself or children? If not, why would you think less of your cherished companion? Every chemical that is put in or on our companions (or ourselves as well) is absorbed by the body. It doesn’t just dissipate. There have been studies going back many years that show over 200 chemicals have been found in the human newborn cord blood and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Obviously, even the air we breathe contain environmental toxins. More information at www.NaturalNews.com
Do not use chemicals on your lawns, either. Studies indicate that the pesticides you put on your lawn pose serious health risks (including cancer) to children and pets. We live in a society where so many products we use contain harmful chemicals, dyes and preservatives. Plastic bottles contain dioxin and BPA, Bisphenol A, an endocrine disrupting chemical. Food cans are lined with BPA, and BPA has been connected to many health issues including birth defects and cancer. Pretty much what is bad for humans is equally bad for our animals. This is one reason why I say never use plastic bowls for a dog’s food or water. Use stainless steel or glass.
We live in a world where we now have tremendous pollution from EMF’s (computers, cell phones, cell towers, etc.). Just because we don’t see EMF’s does not mean they are not there doing harm. Everything matters. Many things we can’t do much about, but when we can make choices not to add to the chemical burden, I believe that’s a good decision. We just have to make the time to educate ourselves. When we can make those choices, let them be informed choices then live with those decisions. Using chemicals only increases the weakening of the immune system. When the immune system weakens, disease has a good opportunity to take hold.
